THE STORY

Alright, guys, the freakiest thing happened to me and my girlfriend the other week. She was heading to Target for some quick shopping after her shift and she face-timed me to see if I wanted anything. We just got into a convo as she was walking around the store, joking around as couples do. I noticed a creepy looking guy multiple times walking behind her, or in the same aisle has her which got to me, but I thought it was normal as it was Target after all.
When she was at the Checkout, the same freakin guy was standing behind her, just staring at her, and even made eye contact with me. I wanted to warn her as I had a bad feeling but he was right there and I didn’t want to alert him. I regret that now because if I had have done that, maybe what happened wouldn’t have happened. As she checked out, my girlfriend wanted to end the Face-time call but I insisted for her not to. She only bought some toothpaste and cereal as we ran out, and only needed one bag so she could still facetime with me. As she left Target, I quickly told her about the guy stalking her in Target, and that she should hurry to her car and get the hell outta there. Thankfully, nothing happened, and she was able to make it home, but I stayed on the facetime call her with her as I wanted to ensure she got to our home safely.
She parked in the parking lot across out apartment building, where I was able to watch her from the window. Regardless of this, I still stayed on the facetime call. As she parked into car lot, another car followed her in. She got out and started walking down to cross the road towards our apartment, and suddenly, I saw a man approaching her quickly, and I yelled through the facetime call to alert her. At that moment, my girlfriend dropped everything and darted towards our apartment, and I quickly buzzed her in. I watched from the window to see the shaded man pick up her phone, which she had dropped. He looked into the face-time call and said the words I’ll never forget. ‘’I’ll get her next time’’. I couldn’t see him due to the street being unlit. I felt hopeless as he ran away. He dropped her phone by the target shopping back.
Thankfully nothing happened to my girlfriend, but the incident left us really shaken up. It scares me to think what would have happened if she hadn’t face-timed me that day.
